Spores are supplied as spore prints on heavy foil. Each print is individually packaged and prepared for clean, stable storage. Spore print size and density may vary by species and variety. Psilocybe cubensis PES Hawaiian, also known as PESH, is a classic cubensis strain associated with Pacific Exotica Spora stock. Despite the Hawaiian name, Psilocybe cubensis is not reliably documented as a native Hawaiian species, so the true geographic origin of this strain should be treated as uncertain. The Hawaiian name is best understood through its connection to PES stock and the older Pacific Exotica Spora naming tradition. In a cubensis print selection, it sits beside other legacy and high-recognition strains such as Amazonian, Treasure Coast and Golden Teacher. Habitat: bovine and equine dung, and enriched soils Climate: subtropical Origin: unknown; associated with Pacific Exotica Spora stock Cap: 25–75 mm in diameter, convex to broadly convex, becoming plane at maturity. Reddish cinnamon brown, maturing to golden brown to light yellow. Surface dry, often with persistent universal veil remnants on the cap. Flesh white, soon bruising bluish green where damaged. Stem: 125–175 mm long, yellowish. Flesh bruising bluish green where injured. A persistent membranous annulus from the partial veil may become dusted with purple-brown spores at maturity. Gills: attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish in young fruit bodies, becoming dark purplish brown to nearly black as spores mature. Spores: dark purplish brown, subellipsoid, produced on 4-spored basidia. For cubensis print comparison, see Tidal Wave.
