Psilocybe cubensis Rusty Whyte is a modern mutation-focused cubensis strain developed by Shroomery user Pastywhyte in 2014 by crossing Albino A with Colombian Rust Spore. The result combines two distinctive traits in one cubensis print: the pale leucistic appearance associated with Albino A and the clay-brown to reddish-brown spore coloration associated with Colombian Rust Spore. Rusty Whyte is particularly interesting to customers comparing unusual cubensis spore color and modern documented crosses. Habitat: bovine and equine dung, and enriched soils Climate: subtropical Origin: Albino A × Colombian Rust Spore cross Cap: very pale cream, especially in the center, to white, often with bluish tones and sometimes with a sharp central nipple. Universal veil remnant spots may be present but are usually inconspicuous against the pale cap surface. Stem: similar in coloration to the cap, pale cream to white, bruising intensely blue where damaged. The partial veil leaves a persistent membranous annulus. Gills: attachment adnate to adnexed.
